Hi there, my name is Grace!

This summer, I’m joining the Giant Voices team as an intern. I’m excited to gain real-world experience and see how marketing strategies adapt based on shifts in the market in client goals. 

Where are you going to school and when are you graduating?

I’m attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth and am on track to graduate in the spring of 2024. 

What is your major?

I’m majoring in Marketing and Consumer Insight & Analytics. 

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class is Principles of Marketing, where I’m learning how to apply textbook marketing knowledge to real-world circumstances. 

What interests you most about marketing?

I am most interested in the constant changes that come with marketing, and how we must adapt as things become more advanced.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I am currently learning to speak Turkish! 

What are your hobbies?

In my free time, I love to travel, run, hike, take pictures, draw and cook.

Hey, my name is Isabel Olson!

I’m so excited to join Giant Voices this summer as an intern. I can’t wait to gain a better understanding of how to build a marketing strategy and find creative marketing solutions for clients. 

Where are you going to school and when are you graduating?

I’m currently attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth and will graduate in May of 2024.  

What is your major?

I’m majoring in Marketing and Graphic Design. 

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class was Advertising and Marketing Communications with Dr. Bakpayev.

It was so fun to take control of our client’s entire marketing plan and learn about everything that goes into the process. This class was what first got me interested in agency work!

What interests you most about marketing?

I love how marketing allows me to make creative solutions for clients by thinking outside the box and uncovering what differentiates their brand from a competitor. 

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Something many people don’t know about me is that I have 2 Sphynx (hairless) cats back home. People definitely don’t expect that when I say we have cats!

What are your hobbies?

In my free time, I love going on hikes, spending time with friends and trying all the great food options in the area.

Hello, my name is Elliana!

I’m a summer 2023 intern at Giant Voices and I can’t wait to see what hands-on marketing experience I gain over the next few months. I’m really looking forward to seeing how marketing strategies vary from client to client based on their goals!

Where are you going to school and when are you graduating?

I go to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and attend the Carlson School of Management. I’m on track to graduate in May of 2026. 

What is your major?

My current major is Entrepreneurial Management and I plan on adding another major to coincide with that one.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class so far has been Accounting.

What interests you most about marketing?

The thing that interests me the most about marketing is how it can look vastly different for each and every client based on their unique business goals. 

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Something that most people don’t know about me is I love being really busy and I like having a plethora of things to get involved with. I’m a busy-bee! 

What are your hobbies?

When I’m not attending school or interning at Giant Voices, my hobbies include working out, reading and binge-watching tv series.

Hi there! My name is Abby and I’m a spring 2023 intern at Giant Voices.

This semester, I’m excited to gain some real-world marketing experience and get a closer look at how the Giant Voices’ team builds campaigns to meet clients’ sales goals. 

Where are you going to school and when are you graduating?

I’m on track to graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree and major in Marketing and Professional Sales. 

What was your favorite class?

My favorite class was Advanced Professional Selling with Dr. Castleberry. It was really interesting to dive deep into the art of selling and learn key communication techniques to improve sale opportunities. 

What interests you most about marketing?

Problem solving! I love that marketing allows me to figure out solutions for business AND be creative at the same time.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’m Catholic! That’s a big part of who I am. Ask me about it sometime!

What are your hobbies?

In my free time, I like to take up photography and videography, painting, reading, water skiing and wakeboarding (honestly, anything that involves a lake) and swing dancing.

Hey, my name is Peyton Krause! I’m an intern at Giant Voices this spring and I couldn’t be more excited to learn more about marketing, especially the advertising side of marketing.

I plan to take full advantage of this great opportunity to work side-by-side with the creative Giant Voices team!

Where are you going to school and when are you graduating?

I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in December 2022 with a major in Marketing and Graphic Design. 

What was your favorite class?

My favorite class was called Marketing and Advertising Communications. In this class we had a semester-long group project where we picked a real company and created a strategic marketing and advertising campaign for them.

What interests you most about marketing?

My favorite part about marketing is the psychology of buyers and uncovering how people think. I’m very interested in what makes people trust and feel connected to certain brands, and what persuades them to choose one brand over another. 

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Most people don’t know that I can play the guitar. 

What are your hobbies?

I have many hobbies that I like to do in my free time. I love to exercise, run and play sports like lacrosse, hockey and broomball! I also coach a youth lacrosse traveling team. Other than that, I love to travel and spend time with family and friends at my family’s cabin.
